The Simpson College softball team opened the NCAA postseason with a 4-0 win over Greenville this afternoon in a game heard live on 94.3 KNIA. The Storm scored two runs in each of the second and third innings to advance to tomorrow’s winners bracket championship game.
In the second game of the day, Central rallied to score a pair of runs in the top of the seventh inning against St. Benedict, but fell 3-2 as heard live on 92.1 KRLS.
Simpson and St. Benedict will play at 11am tomorrow, with Central and Greenville facing elimination in a 1:30 contest.
