The annual kids’ fishing day at Marion County Park will be held on June 6th.
The event, which is held by the Knoxville Police Department, Iowa DNR, and Marion County Conservation, will be held from 8:00 am – 11:00 am and is open to kids under 18. There will be fishing instruction, a free lunch at 11:00, and prizes. The event organizers encourage those who have a fishing rod and tackle box to bring them, but if not, there will be a limited number of loaner poles available.
This weekend is a free fishing weekend statewide.
