WeLift Job Search Center is teaming up with a non-profit organization in an effort to build comfortability within families about sensitive topics. WeLift Job Search Center Executive Director Sue Wilson says it’s important that teens and young adults feel comfortable when needing to discuss matters that they may feel awkward talking about.
“We are really excited to team up with a non-profit that has really been doing some amazing work for almost 30 years. That non-profit is called “Eyes Open Iowa”. Their vision is a future where everyone is knowledgeable, powered and in control of their own conversations. Whether they revolve around sexual health, or drugs, or preventing pregnancy or whatever it may be. Their goal is to get families to talk again.”
The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 20th from 10am-4pm. For the full interview, click here.
