A milling and paving project that was scheduled to start late last week on five city blocks in various parts of Newton will now begin later this week. Newton’s Public Works Department says due to rain this past weekend, workers with Manatt’s Incorporated will be rescheduling the milling in the 1100 block of North 3rd Avenue West, and the 100 and 200 blocks of West 9th Street North and East 4th Street South for later this week. That will be followed by new paving on these five city blocks.
Newton’s Public Works Department will put out door hangers with updated information about the new work scheduled for residents in these areas before the project begins. Questions should be directed to Newton’s Public Works Department at 641-792-6622.
