During the week of July 17, 2011, to July 23, 2011, the Pella Police Department received 136
calls for service, issued 50 citations, issued 56 warning citations, issued 26 parking tickets and
arrested 17 people resulting in 19 charges.

COMMUNICATION CENTER WEEKLY STATS

During the week of July 17, 2011, to July 23, 2011, the communications center fielded 311
telephone calls, assisted 65 people at the window, and fielded 38 incoming calls on the 911
system.

ARRESTS

On 07-18-11 Aaron M. Brees, 22, of Pella was charged with delivery of marijuana and
possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. Aaron was incarcerated for the night.
• On 07-18-11 Leslie J. VanZee, 36, of Pella was charged with abuse of a dependant
person. Leslie was incarcerated for the night.
• On 07-19-11 Dustin E. Kuhl, 27, of Leighton was charged theft in the 5th degree. Dustin
was cited and released with a court date.
• On 07-19-11 Sean M. Hutchins, 18, of Knoxville was charged with operating without
owner’s consent. Sean was pre-trial released with a court date set for his appearance.
• On 07-19-11 a female juvenile of Pella was charged with operating without owner’s
consent and interference with official acts. She was cited and released to her guardians.

• On 07-20-11 Ryan C. Maddy, 26, of Albia was charged with driving while suspended.
Ryan was cited and released with a court date.
• On 07-22-11 Dustin J. DeJoode, 21, of Pella was charged with driving while revoked.
Dustin was cited and pre-trial released with a court date.
• On 07-23-11 three juveniles (1 male, 2 females) of Pella were charged with possession of
alcohol under the legal age. They were cited and released to their guardians.
• On 07-23-11 Nicholas J. Dorman, 19, of Pella was charged with possession of alcohol
under the legal age. Nicholas was cited and released with a court date.
• On 07-23-11 Devon A. Dawson, 18, of Pella was charged with possession of alcohol
under the legal age. Devon was cited and released with a court date.
• On 07-23-11 Tyler N. Elliott, 18, of Pella was charged with possession of alcohol under
the legal age. Tyler was cited and released with a court date.
