Nearly 50 area high school students will be earning as they learn through work-based learning programs hosted by the WorkSMART Connector at the Career Academy of Pella. A signing ceremony was held Wednesday for those students who will participate in apprenticeship or certification programs over the next academic year. Teri Vos with the WorkSMART Connector says the program pairs students from local high schools — including several outside of Pella, to local businesses and organizations for work-based learning.
