City employees in Newton will be gathering at the Maytag Park Pool Pavilion tomorrow for the City of Newton’s 5th Annual Employee picnic, hosted by the city’s Employee Recognition Committee. The two-hour event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday will include the presentation of Years of Service Awards and activities organized by the City of Newton’s Wellness Committee. The grilled food that will be provided for Thursday’s Employee Picnic is being catered by Hy-Vee.
