The Pella Christian summer sports teams continue their busy schedules on Monday, traveling to Oskaloosa for Little Hawkeye Conference games.
The Eagles softball team kicks-off a week of five conference games against the Indians, while the Pella Christian baseball team begins a week with five conference games and one non-conference game. On the softball diamond, the 3-4 Eagles and 4-9 Oskaloosa squads are each looking to build on two-game winning streaks. Pella Christian is coming off of victories over Moravia and Pella on Wednesday and Friday, while the Indians won both of their contests at their home tournament against Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont and Twin Cedars on Saturday. The 3-11 Eagles baseball team is trying to end a six game losing streak, while Oskaloosa is also looking to get back on track after dropping five of their last six games.
First pitch for Pella Christian’s baseball contest at Oskaloosa is scheduled for 7 pm Monday night, followed by the start of the Eagles’ softball game at Oskaloosa at 7:15 pm.
