The Marion County Zoning office has been working in conjunction with Mid-Iowa Planning Alliance on the Marion County 2040 Comprehensive Plan update. An open house will be held on Monday February 23rd from 5:00-7:00pm in the Knoxville Library. The purpose of the Marion County 2040 Comprehensive Plan is to document a long-range vision for unincorporated Marion County and to guide land use and development policies while providing strategies that implement and achieve that vision.
