Speech and Language Screenings In May

Free Speech Screenings

The Pella Regional Health Center will offer speech and language screenings for free during the month of May for all children and adults. Certified speech/language pathologists will screen you for communication concerns, including language disorders, speech sound disorders, stuttering and voice disorders. Flag Raising

The annual flag raising will take place at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville on Friday May 24th at 7:00am. There will be a brief memorial tribute at the Veteran’s Plot, plus a free breakfast for all participants at the VFW. Flags will be taken down at 3:00pm on Tuesday May 28th. The public is invited to both ceremonies.

Pella Tree Rebate Program

Join in the effort to boost Pellas urban forest by participating in the city of Pellas tree rebate program. The city will rebate 75 percent of the cost of eligible trees that meet program guidelines. Two rebates available per property owner per year. Rebate forms for trees purchased between March 1 and June 5 must be received by June 30. For more info visit www.cityofpella.com/treerebate.

The Well in Pella has a meal program open to the community Monday-Friday serving at 11:30am. The Well Eatery will be serving meals with a goal of connecting to the community and have fellowship over a meal. You can reserve a meal for $7 and $5 for those 60 years old and older.
