The Newton football team is just one win away from the program’s first appearance in the Class 4A semifinals at the UNI-Dome in Cedar Falls since 1990. The Cardinals’ offense has excelled throughout the season as the squad enters tonight’s round of eight matchup, averaging just under 40 points per game.
