
The Indianola baseball team swept Johnston Friday night with low-scoring wins of 1-0 in game one and 3-2 in game two. In game one, the game-winning run was scored in the bottom of the seventh as Zach Benge drew a walk and was pinch-ran for by Ryker Burgin. Asher Brueck drove in Burgin on a walk-off base hit.
In game two, the Indians overcame a 2-1 deficit in the bottom of the sixth to complete the sweep and win game two 3-2.
The Indians are 4-0-1 and will head to Fort Dodge Monday with first pitch scheduled for 5 p.m.
