The Indianola High School Music Department is putting on “Seussical” this weekend, a musical dedicated to the lifework of famous author Dr. Seuss. The preparation for the musical began in early February and Indianola High School Music Teacher Nathanael Smale says, the performance will revolve around three main Dr. Seuss stories.
“There’s three main stories that are all kind of threaded together to create the main plotline, but then there’s a bunch of little references to all sorts of stories. The main three are “Horton Hears A Who”, “Horton Sits On The Egg” and “Gertrude McFuzz”. Then, there’s appearances by some other fun characters like the Grinch.”
Thursday night and Friday night’s shows will begin at 7 p.m. and Saturday will have two shows with the first one beginning at 2 p.m. and the second at 7 p.m. For the full interview, tune in to today’s Let’s Talk Indianola.]
