Girls Swimming:
The Indianola girls swimming team kicked off their season with a 113-53 victory over Des Moines East yesterday. Top performances for the Indians included Kaylee Dykstra won the 200 and 500 freestyle, Chloe Powers won the 200 IM and 100 backstroke, Elena Grissom won the 100 butterfly with a new personal best time, Emerson Carr, Clara Etnyre and Kenna Loyd finished as the top three swimmers in the 100 breaststroke.
The Indians won all three relays in the 200 medley, 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relays. Bea Burkhart, Kenna Loyd, Claire Kingland and Olivia Costigan won the 200 medley, while the 200 and 400 Freestyle relay consisted of Olivia Costigan, Chloe Powers, Kaylee Dykstra and Claire Kingland.
Up next for Indianola will be a meet at the Grinnell College Natatorium on Thursday.
Boys Golf:
The Indianola boys golf team placed 11th in the Northwest Invite at The Legacy Golf Club in Norwalk yesterday. Top finishers for the Indians included Wil Nailor with an 81, Daltry Tupper with an 83, as well as Grady Aldridge and Aiden Nguyen both shot 88s.
Up next for the Indians is the Fort Dodge Invitational at Fort Dodge Country Club Tuesday beginning at 10 a.m.
Girls Tennis:
The Indianola girls tennis team fell to Little Hawkeye Conference foe, Ames yesterday by a score of 8-3. Winners for the Indians included Anna Herring in singles action, and then in doubles action the teams of Alexa Guyer and Bria Boell along with Leia Graham and Hadley Erickson won their matches.
The Indianola girls tennis team is now 3-6 on the 2026 season and up next is a matchup at Dallas Center-Grimes Tuesday at 12 p.m.
