Iowa Speedway is hosting a free Open House and Season Kick-Off Saturday for the Newton community and race fans from anywhere. Iowa Speedway President Eric Peterson says the idea for the infield event was born out of his frustration of taking his kids to the same things over the long winter.

“As we continue to do our best to be good stewards of the community, we are hosting an Iowa Speedway Open House on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is open for everyone to come out and enjoy time at the track. There is no cost for anyone to come out. We will have our partners that are activating, and several businesses in Newton will be part of this as well.”

Peterson says those who attend should access the infield from Lincoln Street. Available activities will include walking the track, signing the Start/Finish Line, taking photos in Mobil 1 Victory Lane, and visiting with track and community partners.
