Iowa State Climatologist Dr. Justin Glisan will be speaking at the Newton DMACC Auditorium tonight, as the final guest speaker in the Spring Voices of Inspiration speaker series presented by the United Way of Jasper County. The Executive Director of the United Way of Jasper County, Jessica Lowe Vokes, believes a lot of people will be interested in what Glisan has to say, since everyone is impacted by weather.
“He tracks it and records it. We are an agricultural state. It’s kind of a big deal, we need to know what’s going on.”
Glisan’s “Voices of Inspiration” presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m. tonight at the Newton DMACC Auditorium. Doors will open at 6:00 p.m, and free-will donations will be accepted to continue the speaker series.
