The Jasper County Board of Supervisors set the 2026-2027 fiscal year salary for County Engineer Mike Frietsch, and approved a carpet purchase for three first-floor offices at the courthouse on Tuesday.
A resolution setting Frietsch’s salary at $148,526 for July 1st through June 30th, 2027, was unanimously approved. Frietsch has been Jasper County’s Engineer since August 1st, 2021. He’s currently working under a 3-year contract that expires on July 31st, 2027.
Jasper County Maintenance Director Adam Sparks also got the Board of Supervisors’ unanimous approval on a $16,630 bid for new carpet and installation for the Information Technology, Circuit Clerk, and Assessor’s Offices.
“We have $40,000 in the budget to do the carpet in the rest of the building that hasn’t been done. This first part you see in front of you is for the first floor only.”
The low bid that was accepted was from Store For Homes Furniture in Newton.
