Granting season is now open for the Knoxville Community Foundation and the 100 for 100 annual fundraising campaign has started.

Over their nearly 40-year history, the Foundation’s primary mission has been to invest in long-term, ‘brick-and-mortar’ community improvement projects that have a long-lasting, positive impact on the Knoxville community. ‘100 for $100’ is the organization’s annual campaign and their largest fundraiser, with the overall goal for the foundation to find 100 people or organizations to donate $100. To make a donation, visit www.knoxvilleheritage.org, Venmo @knoxvillecommunityfoundation, or mail a donation to PO Box 226.

The foundation will be accepting applications for project support from now until July 1, 2026. Grant applications can be found online at www.knoxvilleheritage.org. Applicants should be a qualifying non-profit organization with a goal of improving the Knoxville community. (Brick and mortar projects are highly encouraged and will receive preference over other projects.)

Projects the organization has helped fund in the past include the Knoxville Public Library Expansion, The Grand Theater Renovation & Reopening, Knoxville Hospital & Clinics Expansion and equipment purchases, Stepping Stones Early Learning Center, and the Knoxville Federated Garden Club (Bessie Spaur Butterfly Garden). Foundation Board President Aaron Fuller says donating to the organization is an investment back into the Knoxville community.

“We are probably one of the more unique groups out here. The Marion County Foundation does a lot of great things but the Knoxville Foundation goes solely to projects that are Knoxville based. We also give out several scholarships every year to Knoxville High School seniors so they can further their education so they can hopefully come back to Knoxville and make it a better place.”
