Girls Golf 12th At Oskaloosa
The Knoxville Girls Golf Squad placed 12th at the Oskaloosa Invitational on Thursday. The Panthers shot a 410 but was just three shots out of 10th place. Caelie Smith placed 9th overall with an 88. Coach Barry Smith tells KNIA/KRLS Sports while the numbers do not tell the full story, he is seeing the girls make better shots which will eventually lead to lower scores.
Smith: “What we’re starting to notice, the girls are hitting better shots, and that will lead to the scores getting low. What I have to tell them is that they can do this.”
Knoxville Boys Track And Field Wins At EBF
The Knoxville Boys Track and Field Squad won its second meet of the season as the Panthers took the trophy at the EBF Invitational. Kyler Gifford won twice with the 100 and 200, Jack Reed took 1st in the 400 and Karsen Caster won the 110 high hurdles. The Panthers will head to the PCM meet on Monday.
