Boys Track 2nd, Girls 6th At Conference Meet
The Knoxville Boys Track and Field Squad finished 2nd while the girls were 6th at the South Central Conference Meet held at Clarke on Tuesday. The boys had three events win with Kyler Gifford figuring in on all of them. He won the open 100 and 200 and was one the 4×100 meter relay team along with Dravon Chapman, Emmitt Hyatt and Jackson Clarke. The girls had two 2nd place finishes with Siena Scott taking runner-up in the 100 hurdles and Avery Pelong took 2nd in the shot put. Both teams will head to the Pella Meet on Monday.
Boys Golf 2nd At Atlantic Invitational
The Knoxville Boys Golf Squad placed 2nd at the Atlantic Invitational on Tuesday. The Panthers shot an even 300, 11 shots behind the host Trojans. The Panthers had two players in the top ten with Grant Gerdes and Brady Roozeboom both shooting 74s Urban Ziller and Luke Roozeboom shot 76s Mikey DeVos had a 77, and Tommy Buttell shot an 87. The Panthers are back at it on Saturday heading to the Ames Golf and Country Club to play in the Gilbert Invitational.
