Norwalk senior Wyatt Coburn
The Norwalk boys tennis team picked up its third consecutive dual win on Friday, defeating Oskaloosa 10-1. The Warriors improved to 5-3 overall and 2-2 in the Little Hawkeye Conference.
Norwalk won all six singles matches, including straight-set victories from Wyatt Coburn, Ben Swim, Lane Juergens, Rohan Tiedt and Eli Geisler. Tiedt won his match 6-0, 6-0. Isaac Lors took the number 2 singles match in a third-set tiebreaker, prevailing 2-6, 6-0, 10-8.
The Warriors added four doubles wins in straight sets. Winning teams were Wyatt Coburn and Isaac Lors, Swim and Tiedt, Geisler and Chase Coburn, and Evan Scavo and Ethan Lors.
Norwalk will play two more conference duals next week, hosting Newton on Monday at 2:00 p.m. and hosting Indianola on Tuesday at 4:15. The Little Hawkeye Conference Tournament is set for Tuesday, May 12, at Pella.
