The Pella Public Library will kick off the fourth year of its Outdoor Adventure Series with four new speakers throughout the summer.

The four speakers will discuss adventures they’ve taken, which includes bicycling, sailing and walking, and floating down the Missouri River on a paddleboat. The speakers will share tips on the equipment needed and preparation for their adventures, as well as talk about their experiences and what they might do differently the next time.

Bicycling Across Iowa with Cyndi Boerjte and Corrine Verschuure will kick off the series on Wednesday, June 17th at 6:30 pm. Between the two, they’ve participated in RAGBRAI (The Register’s Great Bike Ride Across Iowa) 41 times.

Other dates for the series include:
June 24: What Brought You Here? Inn-to-Inn Walking in Rural England with Linda Laine and Bob Timmerman
July 8: Floating Down the Missouri River with author Lisa Dill
July 22: Sailing: Iceland to England with Brent Martin

The programs will take place in the Library’s Meeting Room at 6:30 pm, and are free and open to the public. For questions about these or other upcoming events, contact the Pella Public Library at 641-628-4268.
