The PCM baseball and softball teams fell to Grand View Christian Friday at home in respective Heart of Iowa Conference matchups.
The Mustang baseball team fell to the Thunder 5-1. PCM had three hits in the contest which came from Coby DeRaad, Izaac Bagby, and Landon Siedlecki. Bagby had the one RBI in the contest which came in the sixth inning to score DeRaad. Shay Burns pitched 4 ⅓ innings giving up six hits, four runs, and recorded four strikeouts. Jensson Hood pitched 2 ⅔ innings giving up three hits, and one run. The Mustang baseball team falls to 3-1 overall.
The Mustang softball team fell in their contest 5-3. The Thunder led 5-0 going into the bottom of the sixth inning and the Mustangs would end up scoring three in the frame, but it wouldn’t be enough as they ultimately dropped the contest. Pitcher Camden Webb threw six innings giving up nine hits, four earned runs, and had three strikeouts. Offensively, Kyra Naeve went 2-3 with an RBI and Ryan DeVore went 1-3 with a run and a hit by pitch. The PCM softball team falls to 2-2 on the season.
The PCM baseball and softball teams will be back in action Monday against Nevada.
