Four PCM varsity athletic teams were in action on Thursday.

The PCM girls golf team placed second at a quad hosted by Pleasantville at Pleasantville Golf and Country Club that also featured Carlisle and Martensdale St. Marys. The Mustang girls finished with a team score of 190 at the nine-hole event. The top individual finisher for PCM was Gretchen Uitermarkt who placed sixth with a 45 and Emilyn Davis who finished seventh with a 46. The PCM girls golf team will be back in Pleasantville for a quad on Monday.

The PCM soccer team earned a 2-0 win at home over conference foe Grand View Christian. The Mustangs had goals from Dylan Beyer and Isaac Miller. The PCM soccer team improves to 2-4 overall and will be back in action Monday at Knoxville. 

The PCM boys and girls track and field teams competed at the Knoxville Panther Relays as the girls competed against seven other teams and the boys competed against five schools. The PCM boys finished second with a team score of 129. Top individual results for the boys include the distance medley placing first, the sprint medley, 4X800, and 4X100 placing second, Jaden Houser taking second in the 100 hurdles, Alex Wendt taking second in the shot put and discus, and Owen Osterhaus placing second in the 1600 meter.

The PCM girls finished fourth with a team score of 92. Top individual finishers for the girls include the distance medley taking first, Abi Teeter winning the 1500 meter, Ila Keuning taking second in the discus, and Katelynn Fagg tying for second in the long jump. Complete boys and girls results can be found below. The PCM girls and boys track and field teams will next compete on Monday at Van Meter.
