Head Coach Logan Bieghler said his team stepped up in a big way at the meet and they saw the results they were looking for.
“You just go attack it the best you can and I think our kiddos did that tonight. We got second for both the boys and girls as a team, what a blessing. It just kind of shows the depth. We had some cats step up huge tonight. There were a lot of kids that were running in three or four events and they didn’t flinch. There were some substitutions that had to be made and things like that and they didn’t flinch, it was the next man up. We just went and got after it every single time we possibly could.”
The Iowa High School State Track and Field Meet at Drake Stadium will start on Thursday.
