Pella Christian girls tennis will begin their run in the Class 1A Region 1 Team Tournament at home against Chariton on Monday.
The Eagles and Chargers were originally scheduled to square off on Saturday, but the match was moved to Monday due to impending rain. Pella Christian last competed in a head-to-head match on September 18th, falling 7-4 against Ames. Chariton’s last head-to-head match came back on September 14th, which was an 8-1 loss to Oskaloosa. Monday’s meeting will be the third between the two schools since 2021, but the first since girls tennis was moved to the fall. The Eagles hold a 2-0 overall record in the previous contests, winning both matches 5-0 in regional play in the Spring of 2021 and 2025.
Monday’s regional match between Pella Christian and Chariton on Eagle Lane is scheduled to begin at 4 pm.
