The Pleasantville baseball and softball teams defeated Earlham on the road Tuesday in West Central Conference matchups.

The Trojan softball team picked up a 17-9 win over the Cardinals in five innings. Pleasantville had 13 hits as a team as Bella Sutter had a three hit night and Claira Vestal, Clara Metcalf, Emerie Harsin, and Tenley Elliott each had two. Harsin had two hits in her first varsity start while Sutter had her first varsity home run and two doubles and Sutter also had two doubles. Lainey Kennedy pitched two innings and then Elliott came in for the last three innings to get the save and win. The Pleasantville softball team improves to 4-3 overall.

The #1 ranked Trojan baseball team defeated the Cardinals 10-0. Luke Vestal got the win on the mound pitching all five innings giving up just one hit and had 11 strikeouts. Offensively, Easton Cox and Brayden Kennedy both had two hits and JJ Phillips was 1-2 with a home run. The Pleasantville baseball team improves to 9-0 overall.

The Pleasantville baseball and softball teams will be back in action on Thursday against Ogden.
