The Pleasantville baseball team went 1-1 at the Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders Baseball Invitational Saturday.
The #1 ranked Trojans defeated Bedford 12-3 in game one. Luke Vestal got the win on the mound in game one recording 13 strikeouts and just giving up two hits. JJ Phillips went 3-4 at the plate with two doubles and two RBI and Brayden Kennedy was 3-4 with a double.
In game two, the Trojans dropped their first game of the season falling to Coon Rapids-Bayard 9-8. Phillips had another big game at the plate in game two going 3-4 with two home runs and a double with six RBI. Brody Adreon went 2-4 with a home run. The Trojan baseball team moved to 12-1 overall and will be back in action on Tuesday at Interstate 35.
