The Pleasantville softball team fell on the road to Albia Wednesday night in a non-conference matchup.
The Trojans fell to the #3 ranked Blue Demons 5-0. It was a 0-0 game going into the fourth inning but Albia was able to score four in the frame to break the game open before adding one more run in the sixth to close out the win. Coach Alee Phillips says her team faced another great pitcher in the game and that defensively her team is playing sharp, but they need to start making contact and stringing hits together. Phillips added that Kally Wysong and Claira Vestal both were excellent on defense in the contest. The Pleasantville softball team falls to 0-2 on the year and will be back in action tonight for a doubleheader at Panorama.
