The Pleasantville softball team defeated #10 ranked West Marshall at home on Friday.

The Trojans scored two runs in the second inning with RBI’s from Bella Sutter and Grace Rood which would end the scoring for both teams in the contest as Pleasantville was able to hang on for the 2-0 win. The Trojans had five hits in the contest including two doubles from Sutter and a triple from Kally Wysong. Coach Alee Phillips says Lainey Kennedy pitched an outstanding game and her defense played tough and they were able to stay tough on defense when West Marshall had girls in scoring position. The Pleasantville softball team improves to 3-2 overall and will be back in action on Monday at Van Meter.
