Four Pleasantville varsity athletic teams were in action Thursday.

The Trojan boys golf team finished sixth out of seven teams at the Pella Dutch Classic at Bos Landen Golf Course. Pleasantville finished with a team score of 345 at the 18-hole event. The top individual finisher for the Trojans was Lincoln Card who finished seventh with a 79. The Pleasantville boys golf team will be back in action today at home. 

The Trojan girls golf team finished third at a home triangular at Pleasantville Golf and Country Club which also featured Carlisle and North Polk. The Trojans shot 440 as a team at the 18-hole event. The top individual finisher for Pleasantville was Laney Harvey who placed fourth with a 104. The Pleasantville girls golf team will be back in action on Monday for a home conference meet. 

The Pleasantville boys and girls track and field teams competed at the PCM Coed Meet. The Trojan boys finished fifth as a team out of six total schools with 72 team points. Top individual finishers for the boys include Will Mesecher winning the discus and the 4X400 meter relay taking first.

The Trojan girls finished fourth out of five teams with 97 team points. Top individual finishers for the Trojan girls include Ariah Phipps winning the 100 hurdles, Summer Isley winning the 800 meter, and the 4X200 meter relay and shuttle hurdle relay teams placing first.
