The Pleasantville volleyball team swept Ogden in their season opener Tuesday night.
The Trojans won straight sets against their West Central Conference foe under the direction of new head coach Kamryn Hilsabeck. Pleasantville won a nail biter of a first set 26-24 and then came back and controlled set two winning 25-17. Set three came down to the wire with the Trojans winning 25-23 to complete the sweep. Sophomore Liv Klootwyk led the team in kills with 10 while Claira Vestal had nine. Klootwyk also picked up four ace serves in the match while Kinley Kennedy and Miranda Benge both had three. Gabby Baethke and Clara Metcalf led the team in digs with nine apiece.
Pleasantville starts their 2026 season 1-0 and will next compete on Thursday against Interstate 35.
