A spotter-confirmed tornado was part of multiple severe thunderstorm and tornado warnings that swept through the area on Friday afternoon. The KNIA/KRLS Severe Weather Action Team was on the air for those warnings impacting Marion, Warren, and Jasper Counties from 2:30 to 3:45 p.m. According to the National Weather Service, a trained spotter reported a tornado touching down near Marysville. Several other communities received small hail, including Knoxville and Pella. Much cooler conditions will be in place this weekend, with less storm activity expected over the next several days.
