The Pella City Council is discussing the operations plan for the Pella Community Center at their meeting today. An operational proposal shows the community services director will oversee the department, with the addition of a rec center manager and community services manager as part of the plan. The goal is to have the new structure in place by the time renovations are complete at the facility and the new indoor recreation center is constructed. At the meeting, the Pella City Council will also consider a 28E agreement with the Friends of the Pella Community Center for financing the renovations, estimated to cost just over $8 million with contingency funds included.
