A record setting 28 members of the Simpson softball program were recognized, along with the team, as National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Scholar Athletes on Thursday.
Simpson’s 28 selections was tied for the most of any Division-III school with Aurora University. Every student-athlete was eligible for the NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete list provided they achieved a GPA of 3.5 or higher. As a team, the Storm finished with a GPA of 3.61, marking the second highest finish of any American Rivers Conference team.
For Simpson, the 28 selections marked the fifth straight season with 20 or more.
