It’s an all Marion County battle to open the Class 2A volleyball post season tonight as Pella Christian hosts Pleasantville in the Class 2A Regional tournament. On paper Pella Christian would be the heavy favorite, but Eagles coach John Evenhouse says anything can happen once the match starts and the Eagles will have to play focused. Pleasantville may not have one heavy go to hitter in their lineup, however they are fairly balanced as Konner Gordon, Liz Hoyt and Mariah Zoss all have over 50 kills on the season and will keep the Eagles defense guessing. You can hear tonight’s match broadcast live on 92.1 FM KRLS and streamed live on kniakrls.com with Jamie Brockman and Wynne Veenstra calling the action starting with pre match coverage at 6:45pm and the first serve at 7pm. The winner of tonight’s match will advance to the quarterfinals next Tuesday at Pella Christian to face either Albia or Eddyville Blakesburg.
