The Pella City Council had its first budget discussion last night for fiscal year 2011-2012. City Departments, excluding the electric department, presented their budget proposals. Budgets overall are projected to grow very litte, save a few major expenditures for road construction and other infrastructure projects. The council is scheduled to approve amendments for the budget February 15th, and citizens will have an opportunity to weigh in at the March 1st public hearing.
