Around 25 people showed up to knit hats for babies born at Pella Regional Health Center. The Pella Regional Health Center Auxiliary has been doing this for about 6 years now. The task was pretty difficult with 412 babies born in 2012, a record number. Over 1,800 hats have been given out over the 6 years of the program. New mothers are brought a gift bag with a hat, a bib, and some snacks. The knitters say they love to knit and it makes it even more special when its for a good purpose.
