Tonight is Beggar’s Night for several area towns and law enforcement wants everyone to have a safe holiday.

Some ways to keep kids safe while they trick or treat are to have them wear face paint instead of masks that could impede their vision, where bright colors so they can be easily seen by drivers, have children only go to homes where they know the person, and check all candy before it’s eaten.

Knoxville, Pella, Melcher-Dallas, and Bussey will hold their Beggar’s Night tonight from 6pm to 8pm. Monroe, Sully, and New Sharon will have their Beggar’s Night from 6pm to 8pm tomorrow.
