The Pleasantville girl’s basketball team fell at home on Friday night to Mount Ayr 65-43. The Lady Trojans held a 30-26 lead at the half, but Mount Ayr used a flurry of turnovers and made baskets to take control in the second half, to lead them to a come from behind victory. Kennedy Core led the way for Pleasantville with 18 points. The Pleasantville boy’s basketball team used a late three to come away with a win in a seesaw battle at home against Mount Ayr on Friday night, 52-49. The Trojans got out to a quick lead, but Mount Ayr was able to take over for most of the game until Brady Elder knocked down a three with 5.5 seconds remaining to give Pleasantville the victory. Elder led the way for the Trojans with 21 points and Josh Luna added 12 points. Pleasantville boy’s head coach Tom Wilkins said it was all Elder on the go head shot for the win. Both games were heard on kniakrls.com and both teams are back in action on Tuesday night at home against Southeast Warren.
