The Indianola YMCA is beginning their annual fundraising campaign in February, raising money throughout the month to assist the Y in completing their mission. Executive Director Heather Hulen tells KNIA News the YMCA is a charity organization, and all monetary funds help make up the gap in their budget to allow all in the area to take advantage of Y services.

“Our main theme is making sure everyone understands that the dollars that we raise stay right here in the community. The dollars stay with the people, they are used for people, it’s all about our people and the promise that we make for them, that the YMCA is a place for all regardless of financial status.”

Hulen also said donating to the cause is easy, either purchase a membership, participate in programs, or ask for a pledge form. For more information, click below.
