Class 3A and 4A basketball teams know who they have to knock out of the playoffs to get to Wells Fargo Arena.

Pella and Knoxville are in Class 3A Substate 6. Clear Creek-Amana is also in the bracket with Grinnell, Newton, and Oskaloosa of the Little Hawkeye Conference and Centerville from the South Central Conference. Pella, currently 13-1 overall, will likely get No. 1 or 2 seed honors, giving them two home games opposite of the 13-2 Clippers, who will also likely be a host site in the other district grouping.

Indianola is heading to 4A Substate 2 and Norwalk debuts in the 4A postseason in Substate 8. The Indians will have Ames, Ankeny Centennial, Des Moines Hoover, Des Moines Lincoln, and Fort Dodge to conted with, while the Warriors will see Ankeny, Des Moines Roosevelt, Marshalltown, Mason City, and Waukee in their grouping.

Final brackets will be released on the week of February 8th. Class 4A and Class 3A begin postseason play with first round substate games on Monday, February 22.
