A new study shows that the size of the Pella area labor force has increased since 2007, according to the latest Pella Laborshed Study. The number of individuals employed grew by about 3,300 while the size of the potential labor force increased by about 36,000. One other difference between 2007 and 2009 is in the median salary for manufacturing, which dropped from $60,000 in 2007 to $45,000.
