The Pella City Council approved the annual wage scale for
non-union employees at their meeting Tuesday. Full-time
non-union employees received about a 2.1 percent wage
increase. Assistant City Administrator Michael
Marcinkowski says higher employee health care costs will
offset the wage increase. For instance, deductibles have
increased under the city employee health care plan. The
Pella City Council also approved an amendment to the city
health care plan at their meeting Tuesday.
