Knoxville elementary students got to see first-hand demonstrations of Knoxville’s K-9 police dog this week. Police officers and handler Chris Rowland, along with Officer Teresa Rowland and chief Dan Losada, demonstrated “Knox” the police dog’s ability to subdue targets and search and detect drugs. Students also got to pick teachers who put on a protective bite sleeve to demonstrate Knox’s biting power, with chief Losada donning the full-body protective bite suit. Rowland says the students had fun watching the demonstration and enjoyed seeing Knox in action.
