A new smoked meat and barbecue restaurant is set to open in Knoxville Tuesday following a ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. on the corner of Roche and Main Streets. The Knoxville Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors will help welcome Findlay’s Smokehouse and Barbecue to town. Owner Dennis Findlay tells KNIA/KRLS News they are coming to town because the Knoxville location offers less overhead and is more cost-effective than a previous Des Moines location, and their meats they served during sprint car races by the Racetrack were well-received. Findlay says the Knoxville restaurant will feature both indoor seating and catering.
