The Knoxville boys are likely wondering what if. The Panthers held an eight point lead with just over two minutes to play when Grinnell went on a nine/one run to force overtime and win by a 50-47 score. Grinnell held control in the first half contoling the tempo and only allowing Knoxville 17 first half points. However the Panthers behind the play of Luke Moore and Jamie VanderVeer roared back with a 13-1 run to start the fourth quarter only to Grinnell come back. Coach Brad McWilliams said VanderVeer kept Knoxville in the game in that first half. Luke Moore took over in the second half to score 18 of his game high 22 points in the second half of play. Knoxville has chances to win in regulation and overtime but the three pointers would not fall. Knoxville is oh-and-one on the season.
