The Pella Christian girls golf team is set to open their season today, weather permitting, at the Pella Golf and Country Club as they play host to Colfax Mingo. Coach Larry Hessing says five of their six varsity players are returning with experience and he hopes that leads to stronger finishes this season. Hessing says it’s always nice to have experience returning, especially when there are also three freshman on the squad because those experienced girls can help teach the younger players.
