Heavy rains put any hope of the Knoxville Baseball Invitational to rest Saturday after nearly an inch fell in a 90 minute span. The Panthers were to host Centerville, Saydel, and Newton. According to Knoxville Athletic Director Randy Wilson, they are seeking another date for the Invitational, but there is a likely chance it will not be made up. Knoxville has all of its games on the road this week starting Wednesday night at Norwalk, then a trip to Pella on Friday for a double header, and wrapping up the week at the Williamsburg Invitational on Saturday.
