During the month of June, Marion County officially received a total of 13.8” of precipitation. That beats the 1935 monthly rainfall record of 12.79 by more than an inch. The highest daily rainfall total was a recorded 1.83 inches on Saturday June 19th and we broke several other daily rainfall records as well. Throughout the month there were only 9 dry days where we received no precipitation. June’s storms resulted in a variety of damage including blown over trees and buildings, power outages, flooded roads and of course high river and lake levels across the county.
